Sire: Quintus has proved the value of his exceptional pedigree throughout his show jumping career. A Grand Prix winner at the CSIO Dublin, competed at the European Show jumping Championships in 2003 and 2007 and went on to compete and place 10th at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Dam: Noblewood Park Charlie has produced an exceptional foal every time for Bensons Sport Horses including Bensons Femme Fatale, Bensons Verismo and Bensons Quantum Leap. Charlie’s dam Cadence is from the number one dam line - Holsteiner Stamm 776. Stamm 776 has produced many famous International show jumping horses, including Calvados I and II, Acorado, Lordanos and the world class Ramiro. Cadence, a German state premium imported Holstein mare was purchased by Noblewood Stud in 1999. She is by Coriander, a sire that was known for producing very rideable horses with exceptional movement with quiet minds including 7 approved stallion sons.
Quicksilver’s maternal great grand sire, Caretino, is one of Germany’s top stallions, producing horses that excelled in both the dressage and jumping rings. He died at the age of 28 and had produced 650 offspring that were registered for competition with the German FN. At the time of his death, Caretino offspring had earned more than 3 million Euros.
Quicksilver’s paternal grand dam, the Selle Francais mare, Opaline Des Pins produced five approved stallions all jumping to 1.60m including three Olympians, Jus de Pomme, a double gold winner at the Atlanta games, Quintus and Tresor d’Opaline, both competed in Beijing. Two of her mares competed at the 1.40m to 1.50m level. She also produced renown showjumpers, Richebourg, Shogoun II and Magister. Opaline Des Pins is from the SF 71 dam line, out of Jasmina who was by the famous Alme Z stallion whose influence is still incredibly strong today.
